NOVA residents have been waiting a long time for a local shopping centre, and finally, momentum is building (if not the centre itself).

The billboard went up on South Dowling Street some months ago, advertising Victoria Park Central and if you visit the website, there isn’t much info. But the lads over at SkyscaperCity have posted a series of shots of the latest model of what is to come…

Due for completion in 2012 (along with Viking Apartments & Divercity), Emerald Park will be visible to NOVA residents living on the western side of the building.

This is the former Email site (they made white goods once upon a time) at 13 Joynton Avenue on the corner of O’Dea Avenue, Zetland. Development of this site has been mooted for at least a decade, and a DA was approved in 2004, and then the existing buildings were gussied up in 2005 and let as offices.
