This time of year is exciting with many reasons to celebrate. With that in mind here are some festive season tips:

• Noisy Celebrations: Every party generates excess noise, so please tell your neighbours that you are holding a party so they can prepare for the noise increase.

• Parking: Think about the number of guests you have invited and if there is enough parking for them. Advise your guest where they can and cannot park (not in the garage without prior arrangement).
If you’re concerned about parking, advise them of other modes of transport such as bus or taxi.

• Common Areas: If you and your guests are going to use common areas, please leave it clean and tidy and noise free. All guests must be advised of the NOVA by-laws regarding appropriate behaviour. Please be mindful of residents that live directly adjacent to the courtyards.

• Rubbish: Post-party we always expect a lot more rubbish. Do not dump or store your rubbish in the hallways, lobbies, bin-rooms or stairwells. Rubbish collection is every Tuesday and Friday morning, so please dispose of it in the relevant areas the night before.

• Smoking: There is no smoking in any common areas of the building, including the courtyards. Dispose of your butts in your own ashtrays and please do not throw them over the balcony as there might be residents below.

• Anti-social behaviour: Bad / illegal behaviour will not be tollerated at NOVA, so please be mindful and respectful of your neighbours. Throwing bottles off the balcony is a serious offence and can carry a jail term. Please report anit-social behaviour to the Police and make a report on our website.

• Clean up your mess: If by any chance you make a mess in a common area, grab a mop and bucket and clean it up – it’s much nicer than receiving and invoice from us right after Christmas.
